KITESURF BASIC COURSE

The Locals Crew Beginner Kitesurf course in Apulia takes 6h in total, is structured in 3 levels and is divided into 3 days of training. The school provides all the necessary equipment and safety systems such as helmet, jacket and rescue. Third party liability insurance is included in the price.

Thanks to the partnership with Duotone Kiteboarding, the school provides students with new and latest generation equipment to always ensure maximum safety and optimal teaching performance.

LEVELS

Progress quickly and safely.

1° LEVEL

LAND / WATER

Kite theory and kite control, wind window and power zone, safety systems, kite launch and landing.

2° LEVEL

WATER

Body dragging is a drag exercise in the water to learn how to power the kite, retrieve the board, relaunch the kite from the water, Self Rescue.

3° LEVEL

WATER

Water Start you learn how to handle the board, water starts and first riding on the board.

AIM OF THE COURSE

The aim of the course is to make the student safe and independent for himself and for others.

At the end of the course the school issues an international IKO Card license, which certifies the level reached by the student and it is valide worldwide. After the beginner course you can continue to training by renting the equipment with an instructor assistance.

The school carries out kitesurfing courses all the year long in different spots of the Salento peninsula according to the most suitable weather conditions, from June to September courses are held at:

Who is suitable for the kitesurfing course?

The course is suitable for all children over 10 years of age and adults.

How can I book the kitesurfing course?

Click on the + book button, choose the number of course participants and finalize the booking by paying only a deposit, the balance will be paid on the day of the course.

Can I choose the day of the kitesurfing course?

Of course, compatibly with the weather conditions and the school organization, we will decide together the best day.

Refund Policy

We will refund you if the weather condition will be not good for ending the course. We will not refund you if you don’t show up for the appointment lesson or if you don’t cancel 12h before.

Do you provide the equipment for kitesurfing?

Absolutely yes! Thanks to the partnership with Duotone Kiteboarding, the school provides students with all the best and safest equipment. Group lesson will share one equipment and one instructor.

Where will the kitesurfing course take place?

The school carries out the courses in different spots of the Salento peninsula, from June to September we teach in: Torre San Giovanni (Marina di Ugento) on the Ionian coast and Frigole (Lecce) on the Adriatic coast. The spot will be chosen according to weather conditions.

Do you need physical preparation for kitesurfing?

The course does not need a physical preparation, it is suitable for everyone

ATTENTION

The days and times of the lessons are established based on the weather forecast and the availability of the student, compatibly with the school organization, every windy day from 10:00 to 18:30.
